Yates Garden Retailer of the Year Award 2010 – last chance to enter!

The winner will receive a 5 day trip for two to Melbourne to take in the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show in 2011.

A number of special awards and prizes will also be presented.

All entrants will be assessed by international garden centre consultants Bill Brett or John Russell. Preliminary judging will take place from 20 March. There will be no prior notice of visit date / time, but the adjudicators will introduce themselves and be available for comment. Judging will focus on aspects that lead to increased sales and profit. Each entrant will receive a detailed copy of the full appraisal and mystery shops.

A list of finalists will be selected. These stores will be visited and independently judged in April by Peter Whitehead from Australia. Peter has extensive experience in the Australian garden retail industry and was the 2008 judge for the NSW & ACT Garden Centre of the Year competition.

All finalists will be presented at the NGIA Annual Conference in Christchurch in July and the winner of the Yates Retail trophy and Garden Retailer of 2010, will be announced.
