Board Elections 2010

Board Elections

At the February Board meeting nominations for this year’s Board elections naturally came up for discussion. It did not take long to realise that in the five nominees we had a range of talents, experience, knowledge and skills that would stand the association in good stead for years to come. All five could make a strong contribution to the development and governance of the Association.

On this basis, the Board voted to accept all five nominations, effectively filling the four board vacancies and appointing the fifth in accordance with rule 9d of our constitution. We appreciate that this eliminates the need for an election and that is not a step we take lightly … the Association will, however be strengthened by the contribution these five will make.

To confirm, the current Board is:

Peter Fraser – President; Rachel Vogan - Vice President; Malcolm Woolmore; Peter Worsp; Kate Hillier; Vince Wylaars; Kerry Sixtus – resigning this year.

The new members to the Board following the July AGM are:

Don Forgie, Tui Products, Bay of Plenty; Grant Hayman, Headford Propagators, Canterbury; and Graeme Ross, Mitre 10 NZ Ltd, Auckland.
